The Vision
To create a "future based on the past...using the
interpretation of rich community history as a vehicle to develop
a modern, heritage based downtown economy".
The Action
This strategy is unique in how it combines academic theory,
such as Christopher Alexander's Pattern Language, with
the detailed listing of each heritage site. These two extremes,
the theory and the application of the theory to the comprehensive
inventory, resulted in the Commercial Development Strategy which
assesses the development potential of these heritage resources.
