Kelly Lerigny, Jack Wong join board

Jack Hall, Chair of the Real Estate Foundation of BC, is pleased to announce the appointment of Kelly Lerigny and Jack Wong as Governors of the Real Estate Foundation.

 
Ms. Lerigny was appointed to the Board of Governors by the BC Real Estate Association and Mr. Wong was appointed by the Minister of Finance. Lerigny and Wong join three other Governors to direct the Foundation’s business, which includes making grants for non-profit land use related projects in BC.
 
Ms. Lerigny, a realtor with RE/MAX Nyda Realty in Chilliwack, was president of the BC Real Estate Association in 2006/07.
 
Mr. Wong is currently the Assistant Managing Director, Finance and Administration at the Vancouver Board of Trade.
 
The Foundation’s Board of Governors is comprised of five appointed members. The BC Real Estate Association, the Real Estate Council of BC, and the Real Estate Institute of BC each appoint one member. The Minister of Finance appoints two members.
 
The current Board of Governors includes:
  • J.T. (Jack) Hall of Victoria, Chair
  • Eileen Smith of North Vancouver, Vice-Chair
  • Kelly Lerigny of Chilliwack
  • Stephen Mullock of Agassiz
  • Jack Wong of Richmond
 
The Real Estate Foundation of BC works to advance knowledge and practices leading to more sustainable use and conservation of land in BC through a variety of programs and initiatives, including its grants program. Since 1988 the Foundation has approved more than 1500 grants totaling over $56 million in communities throughout the province.
